3. The National Partners was started by Kenneth Lee. Ken Lee was
the President & CEO of National Enterprise Alliance (NEA). NEA
was a for-profit started by ten Area Agencies on Aging. NPI is a for-profit
social entrepreneurial business lead by a Board of Directors representing
not-for-profit organizations. A social entrepreneurial driven organization
is a market-based business that pursues a social mission. NPI's Mission
is to facilitate the integration of social and health care services
in rural America and to support the endeavor of community based social
and health care organizations.
4. No. All of the NPI's Strategic Partners provide a discount. Most
of NPI's Strategic Partners provide a rebate, but some do not until
a NPI negotiated threshold is reached. The NPI uses its Community
Partners to leverage deals that include discounts and rebates. When
Community Partners do not participate, and certain business criteria
are not met, then rebates may not occur. In short, economies of scale
in group purchasing does not occur unless there is participation.

6. First, you must have an activated account before a rebate can
be provided; and secondly, you must reach at least $100.00 in rebates
before a rebate check is issued. An account number is issued by e-mail
when you activate an NPI account (please keep this for your records).
The account number goes into the accounting system and allows the
checks to be issued. To activate your account click " Activate
NPI Account" or click here"Activate
MY NPI Account." Rebates
of $100.00 or more are issued quarterly. All rebates are paid at the
end of each calendar year, regardless of the rebate amount.
7. Yes it is true. NPI ADT-Companion Services is provided without
cost for equipment, billing, collections, marketing materials, on-site
training. There are no contracts to sign and the NPI provides for
a substantial rebate. You can also charge for installation and that
money is yours.
8. The NPI's Board of Directors consists of the representatives
from the NPI's Corporate Partners and Ken Lee (President).
9. The NPI does not show its discounts publicly. However, the NPI
does get between 10% to 50% off retail and catalogue pricing plus
in several cases an NPI rebate. When a Strategic Partner contact is
made, please advise them that you are an NPI Community Partner and
provide them with your NPI Account Number, if needed.
10. Your business affiliates and colleagues do not have to join
the NPI. All they need is your NPI account number. When they start
buying, all they have to do is to tell the vendor that they affiliated
with your Center and give them your NPI account number. All rebates
will automatically accrue to your account.
