How Does It Work? |
|
| • QuietCare functions as a 24-hour,
7-day early detection and warning system that enables caregivers and
family members know that a loved one is safe. It recognizes emerging
problems before they become emergencies. • The system utilizes small, unobtrusive, strategically-placed wireless sensors to monitor the senior in their own home. It is unobtrusive, with no video or audio equipment to intrude on senior’s lives. • The system requires no effort from the senior being monitored. • Small, wireless motion sensors are strategically placed in key areas, including the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and meal preparation and/or medication-storage areas. • Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, each sensor transmits information about the senior’s daily living activities to a book-sized base station. • The base station gathers this information and regularly transmits it to the TSI Monitoring Center through telephone lines. • Changes in the senior’s activities are analyzed so caregivers can be alerted to problems by call center professionals, or via email, cell phone, text message or pager, or by checking QuietCare’s secure website. The system then transmits information to caregivers through a completely individualized password protected web page, or if the user prefers, via pager or phone. And because it doesn’t require the senior to wear anything or push anything, it can summon help even when they can’t. Here is an example of the information a caregiver sees when they log on to their client’s password-protected personalized web page - click on the image on the left. |
